The president and senior
management of Sasol Wax North America Corporation recognize the

To make certain our operations are carried out in a manner that ensures the health and safety of all, Sasol Wax North America has implemented and will maintain an ongoing occupational health and safety program directed at preventing injury, illness, accidents, and incidents.

We hold employees at every level responsible and accountable for the company’s overall safety performance. Our OH&S philosophy is defined by the following key elements:
- Safety is the utmost priority. No job is so important that it should be done at personal risk.
- Employees are our most important resource.
- All accidents and injuries are preventable.
- Working safely is a condition of employment.
- All employees are expected to look out for each other and have the power to question/stop a coworker if working unsafely.

Sasol Wax North America is committed to maintaining a robust OH&S program that protects its employees, visitors and contractors from injury or illness and to continually improve OH&S management and performance.
We are equally committed to comply with current, applicable OHSA legislation and other internal, corporate and legal requirements.
Goal
Our goal is an injury and accident free workplace. To accomplish this goal, Sasol Wax North America will make every effort to:
- Identify hazards, assess and control the risks of all types of work activities that have the potential to produce personal injury or occupational illness.
- Continually improve to reduce the risks of injury, illness, accidents, and incidents.
- Provide instruction, training and supervision to improve every individual's understanding of workplace hazards, including safe work practices and emergency procedures.
- Ensure that everyone (including visitors and contractors) complies with appropriate standards and workplace directions to protect their own and others health and safety at work.
- Ensure our OH&S policy is documented, implemented, and maintained.
- Ensure our OH&S policy is communicated to all employees and they are made aware of their individual OH&S obligations.
- Make our OH&S policy available to interested parties.
- Periodically review our OH&S policy and our entire OH&S management system to ensure that it remains relevant and appropriate to Sasol Wax North America.
All managers and supervisors are responsible and accountable for the safety of employees, contractors and company property under their control. Managers and supervisors are also responsible for ensuring all regulations, procedures and safe work practices are followed at all times.
Any and all other policies and procedures must support and comply with this policy statement.
